Serafin Streiff successfully defended his MSc!
In his work “Herbarium phylogenomics, taxonomy, and floral evolution in Connaraceae”, he tackled a difficult taxonomic problem, the delimitation of Rourea and related genera in the pantropical Connaraceae family. To this end, he inferred a phylogenomic tree and provided a formal taxonomic revision. He then used the phylogeny to reconstruct the evolution of the reproductive systems tristyly and distyly, and inferred the family's global biogeographic history. A large and thoroughly executed project. Congratulations, Serafin, well done!
