On April 8, the PPE group hosted a workshop to discuss progress and challenges in analyzing hydrogen isotope values from plant organic compounds and interpreting the resulting data in the context of hydroclimatic changes in the environment and metabolic changes in plants. The workshop was co-organized by Meisha Holloway-Phillips from the PPE group, and Marco Lehmann from WSL. Participants discussed a range of topics from measurements to applications, which resulted in engaging discussions and in outlining key areas for ongoing research.
