New Book Contribution on Boreal Forest Ecology
A new book that our PPE group contributed to appeared this week (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-15988-6). The book aims to revise the principles of boreal forest ecosystem management in terms of silviculture, natural disturbances, biodiversity, ecological restoration, and social issues to ensure that managed forests remain resilient to future changes. Richard L. Peters contributed to the chapter "A Circumpolar Perspective on the Contribution of Trees to the Boreal Forest Carbon Balance", which provides a state-of-the-art on the trajectories of the circumboreal carbon dynamics in response to projected environmental changes.
