Dr. Frederik Baumgarten joins PPE team as senior scientist
Dr. Frederik Baumgarten has joined the PPE team in Hölstein as senior scientist on January 1st this year. Frederik studied biology at the University of Basel and received a PhD from ETHZ/WSL under the supervision of Arthur Gessler and Harald Bugmann. For his thesis he was awarded the ETH medal. Frederik spent the last two years at UBC in Vancouver, Canada as a PostDoc. Frederik is an enthusiastic biologist and has worked on questions related to tree phenology in the past. He will expand his research in Hölstein on tree water relations and growth in the widest sense. We are very excited that Frederik has joined our team and look forward to be working with him.
