We are happy to announce that Daniël Rikkers has joined our team as a new PhD student. Daniël holds a double master’s degree in Biology and Earth and Environment from Wageningen University and Research. For his PhD, he will perform research within the newly launched SNFS-project “COOLROOTS” that aims to investigate the negative effects of cold root temperatures on the water household and growth of different temperate tree species with ex situ experiments with seedlings as well as field studies on mature trees.
