We returned from a wonderful botanical excursion to La Palma of the Canary Islands.  Despite inclement weather, road closures and flight cancellations, fifteen students were able to experience one of the most diverse and intact macaronesian islands first-hand.  Our 722 iNaturalist observations included 315 species, reflecting the impressive and very instructive ecological and taxonomic diversity of the island.
