Research interest

I’m a microbial ecologist interested in the response of soil microorganisms to the changing climate. Particularly, my work is focused on plant-microbes interactions and tries to understand how one may mediate the response of the other. Using metabarcoding, I’ve been looking at the effect of warming on a microbial community as a whole, but also to specific groups such as mycorrhiza or plant pathogens in high latitude regions. At the Physiological Plant Ecology group, I will be investigating the role of soil microbes in the distinct plant species responses of an alpine grassland to shifted snowmelt timing and summer drought.
